คำกริยาแท้ ( Finite Verbs) และกริยาไม่แท้ ( Non-finite Verbs)
Finite Verbs ( คำกริยาแท้ ) ทำหน้าที่แสดงกริยาอาการที่แท้จริงของประธานในประโยคมีการเปลี่ยนรูปไปตาม Subject , Tense, Voice และ Mood เช่น 

Subject

-I go to school every day
-He goes to school every day
-They go to school every day Tense
-He goes to school every day
-He went to school yesterday
-He’s going to school tomorrow

Voice

-Someone killed the snake. ( Active )
-The snake was killed. ( Passive ) Mood
-I recommend that he see a doctor.
(ไม่ใช่ ่he sees )
-If I were you, I would not do it.
( ไม่ใช่ I was )
